Anyone else lamenting the death of good hardcore? Remembering fondly the pre-experimental days of Neurosis? The works of Shotmaker, Struggle, Born Against? Back when you could rely on some solid songwriting behind the wall of sound?
Well, put your Citizen's Arrest embroidered hankies away.
Putrescine's debut self-titled cd is everything you could want from a solid hardcore band. Driving, textured guitars over solid and intricate drumming, perfectly pitched yells, and well constructed rhythms move this 6 song release from the Omaha trio. Though reminicent of "days of old", Putrescine have a sound all their own, and one that can appeal to old metal heads and young emo kids alike. A solid release from a band to definitely watch out for.
