S:U
Proceed Without Caution
INComplete Records

S:U play mostly old school, east coast style punk rock.

The review could have pretty much ended right there. Proceed Without Caution sounds like punk rock the way it sounded in the 80's; in fact, the record sounds like it was recorded around 1987. Though in no way a bad thing, S:U aren't particularly gripping, either, though there is an Operation Ivy/early Misfits feel here that is enjoyably nostalgic.

In the same breath, the band shows some promise: Electrospectro is an interesting track which shows some versatility to the band, though it seems out of place on the otherwise derivative record.

There is really little here that hasn't been done before, but that's not to say there is nothing worthwhile either. It's fun, in the same way remembering being 15 is fun. I would highly recommend going to see S:U live, as they seem like they would put on a high energy set.
